Strong exhibitor demand for EuroTier 2012

EuroTier_2012Well over 2,000 global exhibitors are expected to attend EuroTier 2012 in November, according to organiser DLG

DLG (Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft – German Agricultural Society) said that there are clear signs of exceptionally high exhibitor participation from home and abroad in one of the world’s leading events for animal husbandry, which will be held in Hanover, Germany, from 13 to 16 November 2012. Stand bookings by more than 1,400 companies to date indicate that well over 2,000 exhibitors can be expected at the event according to DLG.

All of the world’s leading suppliers of machinery and equipment for modern animal husbandry will be presenting innovative solutions and comprehensive information about innovations and trends at the Exhibition Grounds in Hanover. EuroTier Project Manager, Dr. Schlösser, said that the stand booking results so far are a clear indication of EuroTier’s outstanding position as leading international exhibition for modern animal husbandry. This has been confirmed by the fact that 200 first-time exhibitors will be coming. At the last event in 2010, EuroTier had over 1,900 exhibitors from 49 countries that supplied information to over 145,000 expert visitors, including 24,000 international visitors.

According to the information supplied Schlösser, all areas of the exhibition are displaying growth by comparison with previous years, reflected by the complete programme in both the pig and cattle sectors and in the poultry sector with the associated World Poultry Show.

Participation from the poultry industry sector at EuroTier 2012 will cover the entire industry with its brand leaders from the fields of breeding, husbandry and processing. Organisers say that this will make the World Poultry Show the highlight of the entire international poultry industry this year. Poultry sector visitors will find cross-species exhibition areas such as feed and feed storage, animal health or climate control technology in animal housing.

BioEnergy Decentral is the global forum for decentralised energy supply and is also encountering a high level of exhibitor interest. Large numbers of well-known companies from Germany and abroad have already booked stands and will be presenting a comprehensive programme covering the whole range of technological developments in the fields of bioenergy (biogas, solid biofuels such as wood, energy grain and liquid biofuels) as well as renewable energy.

BioEnergy Decentral is being organised in close cooperation with VDMA Power Systems and the Association of Local Utilities (VKU), addressing both producers of bioenergy, with their agricultural, municipal, commercial and industrial users, and operators of decentralised energy supply systems.

The Federal Association of Practising Veterinarians (Bundesverband Praktizierender Tierärzte –bpt) has scheduled its annual congress and associated specialist exhibition, Veterinarian Medicine, to overlap with EuroTier at the Exhibition Grounds in Hanover for the third time. The record participation by veterinarians at both the bpt congress and EuroTier at the last event in 2010 made the synergies eminently clear. Both events are indispensable for veterinarians and can now be reached in just one visit.

EuroTier is one of the most important future forums addressing all aspects of professional animal husbandry. Traditionally this is where both technology trends are pointed up and all important questions of modern animal husbandry and animal breeding are addressed. Together with partners from business, academia, advisory services, trade associations and organisations, this year DLG will also be presenting a comprehensive technical programme complementing the programmes of exhibitors. This includes international conferences and events, as well as animal species-specific forum events on current trends and important industry developments.
